It's About Sex and
Swingle Scene

KEMO-TV 20, San Francisco
1972 (?) - 1973 (?)
11:00 or 11:30 PM, Saturday & Sunday

It's About Sex and Swingle Scene were sex-oriented talk shows which ran late Saturday and Sunday nights for a short while in the very early 70s. They had live audiences and took calls on-air.

I only saw a few of these; I do remember one night when Marilyn Chambers was the guest on It's About Sex, plugging BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR, which would place the show in 1972 or 73. A caller that night asked "Is the sex in the movie real?" When told it was, she sounded unable to believe it. "Really real?" she asked. "Really real," she was told. My, how things have changed!

The listing on the left for "Film" could be a listing for It's About Sex. The TV Guide was not always keen on promoting KEMO-TV's fare, and I don't recall ever seeing either show listed, although they were on for such as short time it's possible I just missed them. Also, KEMO-TV was for a while in the early 70s not listed in the TV Guide at all, even though they were on air at the time.

My guess would be that the Mitchell brothers had some hand in the production of these shows. Can anyone confirm that?
